Abstract:

This report provides a comprehensive analysis of the commercial requirements of IMS and the high level technical requirements on the IMS Client Framework. The report starts an investigation of existing commercial IMS deployment. The findings of the investigation will be recorded. Next, the pricing models for IMS will be studied. The commercial requirements are then derived from both the findings of the investigation and the pricing model. Based on the commercial requirements, the high level technical requirements are finally elaborated.

Applicability:

The report addresses mostly business and technical managers but can also be informative for technical staff. By reading the report, the reader will get an understanding of the commercial drivers behind IMS and the pricing model adequate for it. The main high level technical requirements are explained thoroughly. This report is useful both for operators that intend to deploy IMS and the ones that are currently deploying it.
